Opening our doors to Spirit of BC
The first Spirit of BC office opened in Abbotsford with a proper party Friday night, complete with festive tents, local and provincial politicians, and representatives from the University College of the Fraser Valley, 2010 Legacies Now, the City of Abbotsford, the British Columbia Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Secretariat and the Abbotsford Spirit of BC Community Committee.

Hope is building with homeless outreach
Since early April, five outreach counsellors have contacted 89 chronically homeless men and women in Abbotsford and have helped several of them to obtain social assistance, addiction treatment and other services. Up to 20 now have homes, or are getting help finding one.
